A practical guide to the November 6–7 VIP kickoff, Saturday tastings and ticket rules.
By Gulf Coast Navigator ·

Experience the Oyster returns to The Hangout in Gulf Shores on November 6–7, 2026. The fifth annual event brings oyster farms and chefs together for a weekend of tastings, food and live music at 101 East Beach Boulevard.
Before buying, decide which part of the weekend you want to attend. Friday is a VIP kickoff at Zeke’s Restaurant in Orange Beach; Saturday is the main tasting event at The Hangout. A general admission ticket covers Saturday, while the two-day VIP option adds Friday’s gathering, early entry and other perks.
What does general admission include?
The organizer currently lists Saturday general admission at $75. It includes one set of 10 tasting tickets, live music, chef demonstrations and access from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. One tasting ticket can be redeemed for one oyster or one steak bite. Gumbo uses a separate redemption rate. Tasting tickets cannot be used for drinks or purchases inside The Hangout restaurant. Additional sets of 10 tickets are listed at $40. Check the current general admission terms before purchasing.
What does VIP add?
The two-day VIP ticket is currently listed at $200. It includes Friday’s 6–10 p.m. kickoff at Zeke’s Restaurant, 26619 Perdido Beach Boulevard in Orange Beach, with oysters, appetizers, beer and wine included. On Saturday, VIP guests can enter at 10:30 a.m. and access exclusive chef demonstrations and a private area with select beverages while supplies last. Premium parking is available for separate purchase, with VIPs receiving first priority. See the VIP details.
Is there food for someone who does not eat oysters?
Yes. The organizer lists gumbo and new fire-grilled steak bites for 2026. The Hangout restaurant is also expected to be open with other food for purchase. Verify the current menu and what admission covers before going.
