Orange Beach dog owners have an afternoon to put on the calendar: the city’s second annual Fido Fest is set for Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 2–5 p.m. at Waterfront Park, 26425 Canal Road. The free event brings together dog-friendly activities, vendors, live music, a children’s craft area and the Mr. & Miss Fido Fest Pageant.
Make an afternoon of it
With three hours on the schedule, visitors can browse the vendors and activities before settling in for the pageant. The city has not posted a pageant start time or entry instructions in its current announcement, so anyone hoping to enter a dog should check with Orange Beach Parks & Recreation before going.
The children’s craft area makes this an option for families as well as dog owners. If you are bringing a dog, pack water and the supplies your pet normally needs for an outing. Check the city’s event information for updated pet rules or weather changes.
Is registration required?
No. The city says Fido Fest is free and open to the public, and dogs do not need to be registered to attend. VIP dog registration is an optional add-on for a swag bag and caricature experience; check the city’s registration page for current availability and terms.
Plan your parking
Fido Fest is at Orange Beach Waterfront Park. The city says additional parking will be available at the Orange Beach Senior Center and Orange Beach Public Library, and encourages residents to use golf carts. Allow time to park and walk over if you are arriving with children or a dog.
