Watch Glass and Clay Come to Life at Orange Beach’s Arts Afire Fall Festival
A free, two-hour Orange Beach fall festival brings hot glass and pottery demonstrations, children’s activities, and music to the Coastal Arts Center on October 22.
By Gulf Coast Navigator ·
Orange Beach’s Coastal Arts Center will turn its studios into a free fall outing on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 5–7 p.m. Central. At the annual Arts Afire Fall Festival, visitors can watch hot glass demonstrations in The Hot Shop and pottery raku firings in the Clay Studio. The city also lists children’s games, music, crafts, treats, and face painting.
The appeal is getting to see the making, not just the finished art. Families can move between demonstrations and children’s activities, while visitors looking for a different side of Orange Beach can spend an evening with the area’s creative community.
Plan your visit
Admission is free. The Coastal Arts Center is at 26389 Canal Road, east of Highway 161 and just past the Orange Beach Library. The event lasts two hours, so arrive with time to see both studios if the demonstrations are your priority. The city has not posted a demonstration schedule or event-specific parking instructions; check its Arts Afire event page before you leave.
The center also has a gallery and gift shop featuring work by Gulf Coast artists. Its regular visitor information describes glass and clay classes, but the festival announcement does not say that attendees can make their own pieces during this event.
